Casa de Arte is an art-inspired space on two acres, west of the Rio Grande in Las Cruces. The property is surrounded by pecan orchards and is a haven for wildlife. The property is professionally landscaped, with plants native to the Chihuahuan desert. Our focus is to provide space for staying overnight (in the Casita for up to 10 night stays); and for creating, viewing, or learning about visual arts. We have an on-site studio/gallery space and a Casita that can be rented on a short-term basis. There is private parking in a safe, quiet, and serene environment. The property is pet-safe/friendly.
XYZ ART STUDIO
XYZ Art Studio is a non-residential space in Las Cruces where on-site artists produce works in watercolor, oil, and acrylics. Some of the pieces are available for sale in the studio, as well as through the artists' websites or in galleries in southern New Mexico. We display our work through gallery visits, regional gallery tours, and community events.
At XYZ Studio, we host events for the southern New Mexico arts community. This includes demonstration workshops and talks on creating art. We also host fundraising events for the broader Las Cruces arts community. All of these events can be found on this website. Recent exhibitions include an original art fundraiser for the New Mexico State University Museum of Art, and a hands-on Ikebana workshop.
XYZ Studio has space available for artists who want to host workshops, presentations, and demonstrations. Tables and chairs are available, with seating for up to 20 people. The studio includes heating/cooling, a refrigerator, restroom, wall/display space, and sink. The space is available for rental 7 days a week from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. Off-street parking is available for up to 25 cars. No toxic or flammable materials permitted. We can promote the workshop on our website, as well as through local publications, websites, and resources.

Pajarito Casita
Pajarito Casita is a 320 square foot space, offered as short-term rental space for 1-2 people (two dog maximum). Rental periods are for 1-10 nights. The space can be rented through Airbnb, VRBO, and MisterBandB rental sites (Under the title, Pajarito Casita; Cozy, Peaceful, West of River). The Casita is located in a rural part of Las Cruces, 3 miles from the Mesilla Plaza.
The Casita has two rooms and a full bathroom. The entry room has a couch, table with two chairs, TV, refrigerator, microwave, cooktop with two burners, and sink. It does not have a full kitchen, but guests can bring food in, have it delivered, or use the outdoor grill. Guests have access to a washer and dryer. The bedroom has a full bed. A sliding barn door separates the bathroom and bedroom. The space is private and quiet.
Overnight visitors can take in the expanse of the night sky, without city lights to interfere. The Casita contains art by blue-chip New Mexican folk, Native American, and ceramic artists, leaving you feeling as if you are sleeping and resting in a unique gallery setting. By day, you hear the birds. By night, you might hear the coyotes.
Guests staying in the Casita have access to the large, gated backyard, as well as the various gardens and seating areas on the two-acre property. The backyard has four pecan trees and ample space for people and pets. There is outdoor seating in the garden courtyard off the Casita entrance. The courtyard is gated and private, with native New Mexico plants.
Casa de Arte
Casa de Arte is a private home, artfully inspired and decorated. The space is designed for groups of 4-12 people to host writer's workshops, community meetings, discussion groups, or informal gatherings. Kitchen facilities are available.
